After a shock defeat to the mercurial Pakistan, the hosts are back in action against Bangladesh. They will look to fix the chinks in their armour and will try to overhaul the Tigers and get back to winning ways.
The Asian Tigers started off in a fine fashion by turning the tables on the Proteas and almost pulled it off against the Black Caps, only to fall short by a couple of wickets despite defending a mediocre total. However facing England will be a gargantuan task. They can take inspiration from Pakistan, but they don’t have pacy bowlers to put England on the back foot. So they will have to attack via their spinners which has worked well for them thus far.
Pitch and Weather conditions: There has been rain in Cardiff since 2 days which has enforced the covers to stay on the pitch. This will have a bearing on how the pitch will behave. There will be grass and the ball will swing. However, the forecast for the day is good and the cloud cover won’t make a regular appearance.
