CSK’s newest recruit Scott Kuggeleijn, who was drafted in as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi, was tried in court for a rape case. However, the astonishing fact is that neither the IPL nor the CSK management has spoken up on this yet. With the court trial still unfinished, the player must ideally be barred from participating in the league.
Indian veteran and CSK member Harbhajan Singh had, not too long ago, remarked that he would be reluctant to share the team bus with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul after they had made a controversial appearance on a talk show. Harbhajan too is yet to speak on this matter. However one cannot rule out his lack of knowledge on the matter.
The matter has been pushed on Twitter by cricket writer Abhishek Mukherjee who, through his thread, urges people to demand action:
Still on Kuggeleijn. You may read this, based almost entirely on confessions at the trial.https://t.co/23i9tRfb6e
Kuggeleijn: "I tried [having sex] twice, like she might have said 'no, no' a few times but it wasn't dozens of times."
