Call it scheduling mishap or scheduling inevitability, but KXIP find themselves, as early as this, playing two games in three days of the IPL. The parley regarding their first game, regarding their skipper’s audacity, regarding Mankading and its morality, is yet to die, and here they find themselves chalking out plans over a flight to Kolkata. That’s the worst part though; the only off day they get between two games is spent travelling.
Harried games were bound to occur though. To begin with, there were doubts if the IPL would be hosted in India or not , this being an election year. South Africa and UAE were places which came up in hearsay. Then, for the longest time, the league only published an excerpt of a schedule, confirming India was to host the IPL, but the broadcasting agenda was yet to be sorted.
Generally, tight schedules are not ideal. However, it might just be the need of the hour for KXIP. With all the talks about their side and the skipper doing rounds, the unit would not desire time to fret over contemplation.
